The meat is tender and falls apart effortlessly, having been simmered for hours, infused in spices and ghee. The aroma is intoxicating itself and depth of flavor is astounding. I moved from Lahore over a decade ago and The bowl of Nihari always sets the stage for best memories of home. I am salivating just thinking about it and my mouth is feeling the velvety texture of the gravy that coats the meat. If you are still reading this, by now you understand that I am a Nihari lover and would highly encourage you to try pipping hot Nihari with soft naan that you can tear apart and dip into Nihari or you opt out for just the stew with a squeeze of lemon. I swear Nihari is the best way to warm your soul and body in Albany's cold weather. It is the kind of food that makes you understand why food is such an integral part of any city's vibrant culture. If you are ever feeling homesick or miss the taste of back home pakistani food you must go to Nihari Point and have their food. Samosa and chaat are awesome. I ordered biryani, naan, kebab, Beef Nihari and Lahori Channa everything that I ordered is excellent. My kids loved the samosas and channa and naan. We took the food to hotel and enjoyed it. Front desk guy is very polite and nice. And introduced himself as the owner to me named Babar I believe. I highly recommend this place and ask owner for daily specials. ”
“ OMG Level Haleem & Nehari Pakistani / Indian Restaurant. Location: Away from crowded area with plenty of parking. Cooks / servers: Polite, welcoming, genuine and smiling. Now about the food: I ordered Haleem, Nehari, and chicken biryanni. The haleem is "Authentic Pakistani Haleem". The fragrance, the colour, the texture, and the taste. All four are on the spot. Haleem is served with the "KEY CONDIMENTS"; lime, ginger, and green chilli. As you can see in pictures. Nehari: One bite will teleport you to Karachi, Pakistan. OMG authentic. Naan are cooked to order as fresh as you can get. Pakistani dood-patti Chai. Tea. Needless to say, it is desi dood-patti. Creamy and rich taste. Note: Currently the food is for take out only. I will rate above 5 star, on all five categories. If you have not visited / picked up / ordered online, you are missing out the Authentic food from Pakistan. Highly Highly Highly recomended. ”
